If you wish to use your insurance, most companies insist that you have been referred by a GP or a Consultant. This is their stipulation and not ours. Please ensure that we have your membership number and authorisation code before treatment commences. We need this so we can invoice the insurance company directly.

If you have seen a Consultant who has recommended treatment, you must phone your insurer as they will often give you a separate code for physiotherapy.

It is important that you understand you individual policy and know how much physiotherapy you are allowed per year or per condition. You also need to know when in the year your policy runs to and from. Some insurers request treatment plans after a certain number of treatments have been received, and as policies are private to the individual we are not able to access this information. Patients are responsible for payments not met by their insurance company, so please check your cover.

Excesses on policies are due to the practitioners or hospitals and not the insurance companies themselves so please check your statement to see what has been paid and what is owed.
